METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN (MTP)
The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) for the GCLMPO is the locally adopted, fiscally constrained, long-range transportation plan for Gaston, Cleveland, and Lincoln counties. The 2050 MTP defines the transportation network that will serve both present and projected volumes of vehicular traffic, public transportation use, bicycle, pedestrian, aviation and freight travel in and around the urban area through the year 2050. The MTP is based on the most accurate and complete information available including, but not limited to, population and economic development growth and land development patterns in and around the urban area.
